CAMPAIGN “I DO CARE FOR THE WHALES”
Donation $5,000 pesos
Use of the funds:
- Print bilingual informative flyers about the good navigation practices during the whale season and the official Mexican whale watching regulations.
Objective: Distribute them in the marinas and departure ports, as part of the campaign “I Do Care for Whales.”
Mexican National Whale Disentanglement Network (RABEN)
Donation $38,000.00 pesos
Use of the funds:
- Replacement of a complete set of special stainless steel tools for the whale disentanglement assistance network. Example of tools: Grapple, jackknifes, extensions, inflatable buoys and rope. The tools are used to free the whales that get entangled in fishing gear. Due to the difficulty and complexity of whale disentanglement, tools are frequently lost and need to be continuously replaced. If you prefer, you can support by donating a Spyderco knife, which we will adapt to use as a cutting and flying knife. It is our most useful tool. Cost $125 USD plus shipping.

- Gasoline fund for boats participating in disentanglement activities, reports occur randomly and sometimes we use 3 boats at once.
